Name: Himari Uehara
Canon: Bang Dream!
Canon Point: After the Sunset Adventure event story.
Age: 16
Background
Himari had a normal childhood, growing up with a steadfast group of friends: Ran, Moca, Tsugumi, and Tomoe.
Ripples were made when they began middle school and for the first time the group was split up, Ran having been assigned a different homeroom from the others. Unable to express herself to her friends, she began skipping classes to mope on the roof. Desiring a way to make up for the time they now spent apart, they eventually decided to form a band - Afterglow, named after the rooftop sunsets they spent together.
During their first year of high school Ran's father began pressuring her to quit the band and focus on taking over the family's flower arranging school. The burden she was shouldering alone came to the fore when Himari received an invitation to participate in Girl Jam, a notable festival in Tokyo; unwilling to either confront her father or confide in her friends, despite their pleading, the tension eventually culminated in a fight between Ran and Tomoe.
At the same time, Tsugumi was working herself to the point of exhaustion in order to prepare for Girl Jam while simultaneously balancing student council duties. This resulted in her passing out at school, although Himari and Tomoe were present and able to help. When the group visited her in the hospital, Himari informed Ran that the others have decided to withdraw from Girl Jam and place the band on hiatus. This causes her to break down and admit that the band was important, enough so to defend it against her father's pressure - which she does with everyone's support. Her father agrees to watch them perform and judge if it's something his daughter is truly serious about, and Afterglow proceeds with the live to rousing success.
After this Himari participates in the following activities, which are listed in bullet point format because Bandori's canon is told through anecdotal and unrelated event stories:
- going to the beach with Rinko, Ako, and Lisa
- trick or treating with Tomoe, Rimi, and several girls from Hello Happy World
- getting locked in the school during summer break with the rest of Afterglow and having a ghost scare
- writing a song for Pastel*Palettes
- forming a Phantom Thief group ala Persona 5 (literally, it was a crossover event) and staging a heist at Kokoro's mansion
- taking a day trip with the rest of Afterglow to Inoshima
Personality
Having led an uneventful life compared to most, Himari is very much an average teenage girl. A bit of a worrywart, her concerns are nonetheless things which anyone her age might be troubled over - her weight, her grades, or the punctuality of her friends for group activities. She's extremely active in social media, often spending quite some time to achieve the perfect photograph in order to maximize the number of likes it'll rake in; at one point she even convinced Tomoe to help out as a shrine maiden solely to have a picture with her in the shrine maiden's outfit.
Despite these interests, she is far from shallow. Himari has been described as a motherly figure several times by others who know her, and this is quite accurate. She's extremely sensitive to the needs of her friends, and has been known to poke her nose a little too often into their business if she feels that they're keeping something to themselves that requires outside help. She also has a 'mom' sensibility when it comes to what she considers cool, with many of her ideas being rejected out of hand for being too lame or embarrassing.
This rarely deters her, however, as her optimism is something of a relentless force. Although she may get down for a bit, especially when (frequently) teased, she always bounces back, sometimes at a frightening speed. Multiple characters have commented on how quickly her mood can change, "like flipping a switch", usually when presented with something simple like tasty food or a compliment from friends she'd been cross with only a moment ago. She's incredibly soft-hearted, and while she'll complain very loudly about people making fun of her for no reason, it's quite difficult to make her truly angry.
The same cannot be said for getting her to cry. Along with being soft-hearted Himari is incredibly sentimental, being easily swayed to tears at the drop of a hat. Everything from seemingly trivial milestones in her band's growth to watching idols in commercials after learning about the industry can prompt her to begin bawling, something which she often finds herself teased over. Despite this her vast capacity to care is vitally important to those around her; she's described as the glue that holds Afterglow together in official bios. Although many of her attempts to 'make the mood' usually end up being fruitless, the fact that she never ceases trying is what makes her friends feel at ease.
Although she's an incredibly loyal girl, Himari's not without her faults. She's fairly gluttonous, often overindulging on sweets whenever given the opportunity despite the regrets it brings afterwards. Additionally, she often finds herself freezing up during a crisis - when Tsugumi passed out at school, she was unable to do anything but stare at her friend until Tomoe prompted her to action. These are things she's actively working towards bettering, but as she's still a young girl with relatively low willpower when it comes to non-vital things progress has been quite slow.
Powers
Himari is just a regular high school student, and unfortunately has no extraordinary powers of abilities. Alas.

Job Placement
- music! Himari is the bass player in a band with her friends, and has been playing for several years at this point. As Afterglow's leader she's also adept at other areas pertaining to music as well, such as booking studio time, setting up gigs, and the paperwork and organization that comes with such things.
- dessert making. While it isn't stated one way or the other what her skills with regular food are, Himari is definitely talented at making desserts - especially chocolates. She enjoys sweets and comparing them to each other, and this helps her make some tasty concoctions of her own. Her opinions are weighty enough that Tsugumi's father, who owns Hazawa Coffee, frequently asks for her opinion on new menu items.
- photography...sort of. She's very into social media and taking pictures to post online, often painstakingly retaking images until she finds the perfect angle. While this isn't very useful by itself in a world currently stuck in the 80s, those skills could easily be applied to more productive lines of work.
- research. Despite her appearing a bit scatterbrained, Himari is actually very diligent when the situation calls for it. She has no issue with compiling lists of popular attractions and locations for vacations, or reading into subjects that catch her interest.
Given that Bang Dream is a canon focusing on bands, I'd love if Himari could get a job that's related to music, but I understand if that isn't possible right now.
Sex Work
No thank you!
Faction Placement

Does your character have any connection to a 'real life' supernatural entity or mythological figure?
Nope! Unfortunately it's not the kind of anime.
Is your character willing and able to engage in sexual acts, with or without the use of aphro?
She'll need time to warm up to the idea given her lack of experience and personality, but eventually yes.
